Themed Phd Seminar “What are Digital Humanities?”

The Phd seminar “What are Digital Humanities?” at The University of Oslo seeks to provide doctoral students of all humanities disciplines – with a strong focus on textual primary sources – with both a comprehensive overview of the history of digital humanities and an introduction to dh technologies such as digitisation, text encoding and editing, analysing, interpreting and manipulation of textual data as well as visualisation and virtual display of humanities research. International representatives of digital humanities projects and initiatives will give their perspectives on the field and share their expertise on dh technologies and skills.

The CfP will be released in January 2013. The seminar is open for Norwegian and international doctoral candidates throughout all humanities disciplines as well as the human sciences.
